＋Presented here a pair of wide leg trousers by COMME DES GARCONS HOMME, made in a lightweight brown cotton but with stiff, green vinyl patch pockets at the back. The use of contrast vinyl patches, panels, and sections was an iconic detail for COMME DES GARCONS during the 1990s and particularly the period these trousers were produced, in 1994. The juxtaposition of the soft, flowy cotton body fabric and the extreme stiffness of the vinyl is very striking, bordering on comical. In addition to the vinyl patch pockets, the trousers have two slash pockets at the side seam, and tabs at the side of the waist which allow the waist to be taken in slightly. Beyond this the waist is cut slightly large, and designed to be worn belted.
